The Role

We are seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial problem solver with experience working in professional services as a project manager. You will combine project management and account management, playing a pivotal role in all key projects we undertake in the Chinese market. You will need to have a strong sense of ownership, a bias towards action, and a relentless drive to achieve consistent results to excel in this role and propel yourself into a leadership position.

This role is ideal for a Chinese citizen who has returned from living and working in the United States (or the United Kingdom) and wishes to leverage their international business knowledge and skills in a cross-border setting. We also accept applications from expatriates provided that they currently reside in mainland China and possess fluent Chinese (both written and verbal).

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Working with the global COO and Managing Partner of China, you will play a key role in the operational team and assist with implementing our global structures at a regional level.
  • Create and lead project plans. Review progress, adjust schedules and plans as needed, identify and resolve issues, and actively follow up on outstanding items to ensure project success.
  • Act as the point of contact for deliverables, task-related challenges, and questions related to project progress.
  • Craft compelling proposals and presentations that can be presented to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reports on project key performance indicators (KPIs), schedules, resources, and milestone delivery.
  • Proactively help improve internal structures and project management practices to increase operational efficiency.
  • Support the training and development of consultants and analysts.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time.
Requirements
  • Native Chinese speaker with fluent English (>IELTS 7).
    If an expatriate, then a Native English speaker with fluent Chinese (>HSK 5).
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business or technology-related field.
  • 3+ years of project management experience in the professional services industry, with a track record of managing a variety of complex projects using Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
  • 3+ years of international business experience with demonstrable experience understanding and adapting to Western business culture and practices (ideally American or British).
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing cross-functional remote teams to design solutions, solve problems and deliver exceptional results during non-traditional business hours.
  • Detailed organizational and analytical approach, able to conduct research, analyze information, develop strategies and create plans with speed and precision.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a strong executive presence and complete comfort with managing both local and foreign stakeholders.
  • Highly skilled with task management software such as Monday, Jira, or Trello. Experience with MS suite including Teams and Sharepoint is a plus.
Benefits
  • TOTAL PACKAGE: of ¥225,000–600,000. Including,
  • SALARY: A competitive annual salary of ¥180,000–360,000  (dependent on experience).
  • ANNUAL BONUS: End of year bonus equivalent to approximately 25% of your annual base salary.
